One of the great things about tumblr is that it has been an open, safe platform for people at risk to express their fears and insecurities. At the same time, quite a lot of them found support that helped them drag themselves out of the hole they were suck in and possibly prevent more self-harm and even suicide in some cases. Now tumblr is turning into a big-brother media house that will ‘monitor’ our content and restrain self-expression (unless they are socially acceptable to tumblr’s investors). thanks for the big let down. not surprised, just really hurt.
